Transportation

Our driver will meet your incoming flight at the airport and bring you and your luggage to the hotel where we are staying our first night. We will also take care of getting you to the bike rental location prior to the tour, and from the rental location back to your hotel at its conclusion. At the end of your tour, you will be returned to the airport for your flight home.

We'll also assist you in any special arrangements you may need, such as advance shipping of luggage to our gateway cities.

Unique Lodging

Besides the great roads and spectacular scenery on a Great American Motorcycle Tour, one of the most critical components is our lodging selections. All lodging is included, from the evening before our departure through the night after we return to our final stop.

We stay at places where our group is not considered "small", so we can be the primary focus of the proprietor and staff. That generally means you'll stay at a small local inn, Bed & Breakfast, ranch, lodge, or even private cabins. Often we're the only ones there. The place needs to have character, and often some of the most interesting characters you'll meet on a tour (in addition to your group of course!) are our hosts for one or more evenings.

Nonetheless, comfort is never sacrificed, and you'll find amenities such as antique furnishings, hot tubs, fireplaces, as well as nearby activities and attractions such as golf, horseback riding, fishing, hiking, and yes, even shopping.

Suffice it to say your lodging experience will be "Comfortably Unique".

Dining

Meals are included as specified in each tour description, with the exception of meals on our "off" days - when we spend two consecutive nights at the same hotel. Each day starts with breakfast as a group. It's usually at our place of lodging and varies from a generous continental to a cooked-to-order feast. In any case, don't worry about starting out on an empty stomach. We'll discuss the days ride, attractions, alternative routes.

Lunch may be a gourmet picnic roadside, or at a place we've found  that's just the right combination of atmosphere, good food, and the prompt service needed to help us keep moving.

Dinner is a time to relax at day's end, share our thoughts on the day with one another and look forward to tomorrow. It's also when we make sure we didn't lose anyone. If you are going to be late for dinner, please call.

We typically enjoy local favorites and specialties, always prepared fresh and always plentiful. Sometimes we order from menus - choose anything at all - but sometimes our  "personal chef" is willing to exercise his or her culinary creativity. The best meals, like the best rides, are often "planned spontaneity"!

Support Vehicle & Trailer (SV)

Every tour is accompanied by our Sprinter Class support vehicle. The SV carries luggage for the group and has plenty of room for clothing and riding gear and even space for some larger extras like fishing poles and golf clubs. We're saying "two pieces per person" just so no one gets carried away.  Generally speaking, those who bring the extra "toys" end up not using them...  they stay too busy riding!

Should anyone not wish to ride a motorcycle at all times, there's also room in the SV for several passengers. We've also had non-riding guests take a tour in a Mustang convertible or similar auto.

Daily Itinerary Packet (DIP)

After dinner on the night you arrive for your tour, you'll receive your Daily Itinerary Package. In it you'll find detailed information about your tour, including maps and directions for each day's travels... the planned route as well as alternates. There will be a list of attractions and interesting facts about places and people along the way..

You'll also have emergency contact information and telephone numbers for our each night's lodging, should you  ever be delayed.

Entrance Fees

On Signature Tours, your entrance fees to National Parks and attractions we visit as a group are included as part of your Great American tour package.  On Select and Self-guided tours these costs are additional.  We can advise you the approximate amount of these costs on request.
